StemQuest.ie(Gradnet Ltd.) is an online student competition open to students from second level education.   StemQuest.ie is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and in full compliance with all relevant privacy legislation.

Content

• All content is controlled by StemQuest.ie
• All content is reviewed for ethical standards and is age appropriate.
• The Quiz is based on the topics and careers of Science, Technology,  Engineering, and Math (STEM).
• The site will promote the names of companies and organizations who are supporting or partnering in this initiative. StemQuest.ie will not accept support or partnership from any organization, which is not appropriate to the topic of STEM or age appropriate.
• There are no facilities for students or other users to post any materials or information on this website, other than provide comments and feedback to StemQuest.ie.
• All questions are in multiple choice format and no other comments or opinions are requested or allowed.
• Everyone needs to be cautious online. Do not give out your full name, e-mail address, home address, telephone number or any other personal information that would enable someone to contact you either online or offline, without first asking your parent or guardian for permission.

Personal Information

• Students are required to register as members in order to take part in the competition.
• The following personal information is required for registration: Name, User Name, Password, Date of Birth and email address. There is no other personal information required at any other time or place on the website.
• StemQuest.ie undertakes that this information will be used solely and exclusively for the purposes of the competition and will not be used or shared with any third parties.
• The email address will be used solely for the purposes of communicating username and password data, competition dates and notifying winners email addresses will not be posted on the website.
• The school information will be used exclusively to provide summary information on school participation.
• The age is required to check the application of privacy rules.
• A link to this privacy statement is placed on the registration page.
• A parent can request to see full details of personal information held on their child by requesting this via Contact Form and providing parent/guardian Name, Address, telephone number and/or email address and child’s name, school and grade.
• If a parent does not want their child to participate or if they seek to cancel or remove the personal information, please let us know by sending us your name, address, e-mail and phone number to info@StemQuest.ie.

  
NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION AND THE USE OF COOKIE TECHNOLOGY

• We collect non-personally identifiable information through the use of a software technology called "cookies," and through our users’ voluntary submissions to us and/or upon our request. • We also collect the following non-personally identifiable information in connection with content submissions, games, classrooms, and bulletin boards: first name only and first initial of last name, region, age, and grade. The non-personally identifiable information that we track is anonymous and will never be identified with or lead us back to any of our users.

Among other things, this non-personally identifiable information allows us to know which areas are favorites, which areas need a bit of improvement, or what technologies and Internet services are being used by our users so that we may continually improve our users' online experiences.
