Terms and Conditions
The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) competition is sponsored by Gradnet Ltd ("Sponsor"). Please read carefully.
Competition - Rules
- This program will run for X weeks commencing X, 2010.
- The program is open to all students from secondary level education located in Ireland.
- There will be one quiz for the program for all grades.
- You must be registered to participate.
- You can register by selecting "Sign Up" banner on the Home Page and follow the instructions. You will receive a confirmation email including your username and password which allows you to proceed to Member login and to participate in the Quiz.
- Only one entry per person per week. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Duplicate entries for the same week will be discarded.
- All entries with the correct answers will be eligible for a random computerised drawing of weekly prizes
- Please read details of prizes on the Prizes page on this website
- Entries for each week will close on Sundays at 24:00. Selections of winners will be each Monday at 18:00 for the previous week's winners.
- Prize winners will be notified within seven days of selection by email direct or to teacher or parent/guardian. It is the winner's responsibility to claim their prizes.
- Winners will be eligible for their prizes only if they were eligible to participate.
- Prize winners will be required to have their parents or legal guardians complete an affidavit of eligibility and a waiver and publicity release in order to collect their prize and to participate in any associated publicity
- No purchase is necessary to participate or to accept the awarded prize
- In the event of the winner's failure to qualify or claim the prize within 30 days of being notified, no alternative winner will be drawn and such prize will not be awarded.
- Odds on winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- No cash award will be given in place of the prize. Winners are responsible for all taxes.
- Competition is subject all applicable Irish laws and regulations.
- Sponsor shall not be responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure of the entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to to be received by the Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet.
- Sponsor may prohibit Contestant from participation in the Contest if, at its sole discretion, contestent attempts to circumvent these Terms and Conditions, or acts (a) in a manner that affects the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the Competition in any way ; or (b) in any other disruptive manner.
- All entries shall become the property of the Sponsor.
- Sponsor may collect personal data about entrants in accordance with its Privacy Policies. Please review the Sponsor's Privacy Policies as detailed at www.StemQuest.ie (Privacy Policy Statement - Read more). By participating in the Competition, entrant agrees to Sponsor's collection and usage of their personal information and they will have read and accepted Sponsor's privacy policies.
- Winners names may be obtained by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to: "ON LINE STEM STUDENT COMPETITION" StemQuest.ie at P.O. Box X. Requests must be received within 90 days of competition of the competition.
General
- All materials are subject to copyright and may not be copied, reproduced, published, distributed, modified, uploaded or transmitted without the prior written permission of StemQuest.ie.
- You acknowledge and agree that StemQuest.ie does not engage in monitoring or exercising editorial control over information provided and shall not be liable for any failure to monitor or edit.
- StemQuest.ie does not endorse companies or products associated with this site.
- Any materials submitted to Gradnet Ltd. for any additional competition including the submission of user generated content, become the property of Gradnet Ltd.
